About the Program
The Dubai Future District Fund Summer Internship program empowers graduates with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to help them start a career in the venture capital industry.

The program is designed for interns to work alongside our experienced team of investors and operators.
​
We are looking for curious, adaptable self-starters to join across a variety of functional areas, from deal sourcing and evaluation to portfolio management and value creation.
​
The program will run from June - August 2024 and will be a hybrid between our offices in the DIFC and remote work.

Program Structure

The program will run from June - August 2024.

Interns will have the option to work from the office or completely remotely.

All candidates will be required to have access to a laptop and Internet connection to take part in the program.

Program Components

Summer interns gain a holistic understanding of the venture capital industry from sector mapping, deal origination, diligence, and execution to value creation in portfolio companies.

Summer interns will work collaboratively with our team to evaluate and execute investment opportunities and drive growth within our portfolio companies.

Those who complete the program become part of the DFDF network with a potential path into venture capital firms in Dubai, UAE, and the region.

Program Deliverables

Researching various sectors and subsectors within our fund thesis, writing reports, and providing deep-dive analyses.

Sourcing and screening new opportunities that fall within our fund's mandate and overall investment thesis.

Supporting the deal evaluation process including financial and competitive analysis, market sizing, and commercial due diligence. Supporting the creation of internal investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.

Contributing to fund marketing efforts, which are directed to both our external community and our investors.
About DFDF
The Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF) is the evergreen venture fund of Dubai anchored by the Dubai International Finance Center and the Dubai Future Foundation.
The fund aims to deploy half of its investments into venture capital funds and the other half into startups directly.

Our mission is to boost startup and venture capital investing and business activity in Dubai and the region, providing a healthy return to investors and facilitating GDP growth and job creation.
Are you eligible?
The eligibility criteria:

Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate educational program (less than 6 months from graduation).

Interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship.

As this is largely a virtual internship, all candidates will be required to have access to a laptop and internet connection to take part in the program.
